현재 온라인 카지노의 부교수로 재직 중인 김지연 교수는 서울대학교 식품영양학과를 졸업하였고 서울대학교 대학원에서 이학박사학위를 취득하였다. 이후 미국 델라웨어 주립대학교와 서울아산병원에서 박사후연구원 및 연구교수를 역임하고, 한양대학교에 임용되었다. 바이러스, 박테리아, 진균을 포함하는 다양한 분야를 연구하였으며, 주요 연구 분야는 바이러스, 세균, 진균 감염 질환의 분자생물학적, 면역학적 진단, 감염질환 및 백신 면역 반응, 면역저하자의 감염질환, 항바이러스제 연구 등이다.
